Tabata Intervals TRX Cardio Workout

Burn more calories and fat with the tabata intervals TRX cardio workout. The best part about this intense cardio workout is that it tones the entire body and boosts strength, core stability, and balance.

Tabata Intervals TRX Cardio Workout

Set your Gymboss Interval Timer for 8 rounds of 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest. After you complete 8 rounds of the first tabata superset take a one minute break and then do the same with tabata superset 2 and 3. Continue with 5 minutes of additional cardio and 5 minutes of stretching.

Tabata Superset 1
TRX row to jump squat 20 sec. work 10 sec. rest
TRX 1 leg squat w/skip 20 sec. work 10 sec. rest
Repeat 4 times (8 rounds down 16 to go)
Rest 1 minute move on to the next superset

Tabata Superset 2
TRX power pull 20 sec. work 10 sec. rest
TRX lawmower prep 20 sec. work 10 sec. rest
Repeat 4 times (16 rounds 8 to go!)
Rest 1 minute move on to the next superset

Tabata Superset 3
TRX sagittal reach w/hop 20 sec. work 10 sec. rest
TRX up down 20 sec. work 10 sec. rest
Repeat 4 times (8 rounds down 16 to go)
Rest 1 minute and continue with additional cardio



After you complete all 24 rounds of tabata intervals go walk for 5 minutes and throw in 2-3 spontaneous sprints any time you feel ready to go faster.

You can also just jump rope for 5 minutes taking quick breaks whenever you need to.

Finish up with 5 minutes of full body stretches or yoga poses. This entire TRX cardio workout including the breaks, additional cardio, and stretching takes 25 minutes.

Thanks for the nice comment. I really enjoy playing and experimenting with the TRX. I love how all kinds of athletes and trainers use it in such different ways. It's such a versatile dynamic tool. One of the guys at our studio is a TRX instructor so I'm always stealing new moves from him too : )
