Quick Fat Burning
Hotel Gym Workout

I don't know about you guys but I don't like wasting my vacation time (or any time) on long boring workouts. If I need to workout while I'm traveling I make it a quick fat burning workout so I can get on with my sightseeing, beach/mountain exploring, or shopping.

Here's instructions to the quick fat burning hotel workout I did this morning.

Cardio Warm-Up
Start with 7 minutes of cardio intervals on any cardio machine (I used the treadmill). Set your treadmill at a 6 incline or set your bike or elliptical at a 6-8 resistance. Go at a fast pace for 30 seconds then sprint at a faster pace for 30 seconds. Alternate back and forth for 6 minutes increasing the incline or resistance at least 2 levels after every sprint.

By the time you're done with your warm-up you should be at a very high incline or resistance. Use your last minute to decrease both speed and incline/resistance gradually.

Quick Fat Burning Circuit
Take a 30-60 second water break then continue with 8-10 reps (on each side for single side exercises) of all the exercises below. Go from one exercise to the next without rest and go as many rounds as possible for 12 minutes. No rest between circuits.

DB Bulgarian squat w/twist (don't forget other side)
DB Single leg row (don't forget other side)
DB Sumo squat to overhead press
Pushups (from kness or regular)



Cool Down
Finish up with 3 minutes of stretches that target the quads, hamstrings, glutes, chest, and back.

This entire workout takes about 23 minutes. Video coming next week. BTW, the guy who walked in on me filming this didn't know what to do when he saw the camera. I should have asked him to be in my video.

Can't wait for the video. I'll be on vaacation later in July so this should be great. The videos help me because I'm not always sure what exercise you are doing from just the name. Thanks for all you do. Hope you had a nice time in the Pacific NW.

Bulgarian Split Squat = Instant Butt Lift

Hey everybody, thanks for all the nice comments. I really appreciate it. I gotta tell you that I had not done bulgarian split squats in a while and had forgotten what an effective butt lift exercise it is.

My booty is slightly sore today! I love it. If you want to learn how to perform this exercise just watch the video below. I wasn't going as deep as coachyari (she's so cute), was only holding one dumbbell and twisting the dumbbell across the front leg as I was squatting down.

Love the video (also Coach Yari - she is cute, dang it) This is one I can do on the road, without any trouble. It's not a long workout, but will keep things going until I get home. Thanks.
