Best Valslide Bootcamp Exercises for Fatloss Toning & Core

by Monica

Valslide exercises are awesome for fatloss, toning, and flat abs. They increase full body strength, burn tons of fat and calories, they strengthen your core, tone all your trouble zones, and they're also tons of fun.

One of the main reasons I use gliding disc exercises with my clients and in my bootcamp classes is that you can make basic exercises like lunges, mountain climbers, planks, and leg curls much more challenging without having to add weight.

Remember that adding weight isn't always the best way to progress an exercise from beginner to advanced or from simple to complex. Progressions that challenge your stability can be as challenging as increasing weight or reps or time.

In the video below trainer Josh shows you a killer valslide bootcamp workout that blasts tons of fat and tones your entire body.

Be sure to check out the gliding disc exercises guide for more valslide exercises, tips, plus where to purchase the valslide for less.

Modified Valslide Plyo Pushup
by: Anonymous

Valerie Waters creator of the Valslide demonstrates that not all fitness experts can crank out the hardcore pushups and shows you a modified version of the dynamic valslide plyo pushup.

If you're not strong enough or don't have enough core stability to perform regular plyo pushups then be sure to start with Val's easier version then work up to the more challenging version that Josh was doing in his valslide bootcamp video.

BTW, the first exercise she shows you is from her Red Carpet Ready workout plan and it's a great fatloss move that also tones the arms, legs, and core. Try it with an 6-8 lb dumbbell, medicine ball, or sandbag and it will get your heart rate going fast!

valslides or gliding discs
by: Monica

Hi Yiyi,

The green and black things are called Valslides and you can get them at this link: Valslide Gliding Discs. There's also a purple version that's round without padding and you can get those here: Gliding Discs.

I've used both and they are both great for lower body workouts, ab workouts, and bodyweight cardio. Check out my gliding disc exercises article for more gliding disc workouts and tips.
